*update 2025-05-03: you might have better luck using the [PortMaster Script](https://portmaster.games/) for this game! They seem pretty cool, long list of games they've patched to run on low-end hardware. I haven't installed mods on this version yet but I'll try it later.
I got modded balatro to _mostly_ run under Switchroot Ubuntu. There's a bunch of mods that are complaining about bad filesystem access and I haven't dug in to isolate the problem yet.
